F.A.Q
1Fees?
- Fees are set at a standard $200 per session for assessment and individual therapy.
- If you have a mental health care plan through your General Practitioner (GP), Medicare will reimburse you for up to 10 sessions per calendar year. Please contact Medicare directly to discuss rebates.
- If you have private health insurance dependent on your plan, you may be covered for a portion of the cost of your visit. Please contact your private health provider to see if you are eligible.
- Contact Consilium Psychology to discuss fees regarding group treatment/s.
2Payment?
- Work to complete an assessment and report require an initial payment of 50% prior to commencement.
- Full payment is required at the completion of report. Reports will not be released until full payment has been received.
- Payment for individual therapy services are to be made prior to session and made in full.
- Payment for group sessions require negotiation please contact Consilium Psychology to discuss your needs.
3Cancellation Policy
- We require 48hours notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. This cancellation policy is necessary as it allows us to offer the appointment time to another client who may be on a waiting list for an earlier appointment.
- Any cancellations within 24 hours or non-attendance of an appointment will be charged at the full fee as it is unlikely we are able to allocate this time to another client.
4How long will the assessment take?
- Dependant on the assessments required and information to be gathered a general forensic psychological report can take up to 3 hours with further appointments required if necessary.
- The timeframe for child and family assessments can vary depending on the complexity of the issue and the numbers of parties involved in the case.
5What do I need for my assessment?
- Wear something comfortable.
- Attend the assessment, participate in an interview as well as complete some questionnaires.
- Be prepared to talk about the reasons you are coming to see a psychologist.
- If you have difficulties with reading or writing we can provide you with support or you can organise an interpreter.
