Behaviour Support Plans

Are you or your client registered with the National Disability Insurance Scheme and require a behaviour support plan?

What is a Behaviour Support Plan?

A document prepared in consultation with the individual with a disability, their family, careers and support system which addresses the needs of the person identified as having complex behaviours of concern. The plan contains individualised evidence informed strategies to improve the person’s quality of life.

Behaviour support plans can be created for clients who are plan or self-managed only with additional staff training provided.

Therapy - Emotion Regulation Skills System

Consilium Psychology provide individual and group treatment specifically for those with a borderline or intellectual disability who have difficulties in managing their emotions. The emotion regulation skills system was built from Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) concepts and in many places are direct adaptions of the standard DBT curriculum.

This is a 12-week program which is encouraged to be completed over three to four cycles. The simplified materials and systematic teaching approach help people off all abilities surmount intellectual, emotional and/or behavioural barriers that may hinder generalisation of new adaptive behaviours.
